The Geospatial Summer Institute, a 3 credit hour fellowship course, provides undergraduate and graduate students with an introduction to geospatial information technology including Remote Sensing, Global Positioning Systems, and Geographic Information Systems.
Twelve to sixteen fellowships are awarded each year to support student attendance. Fellowships provide for tuition, fees, materials, textbooks lodging (when applicable for those outside the OKC metro area) and more. Each student fellow will receive cash stipend, 3 credit hour option, certificate of completion, textbook and trial software upon successful completion.
Undergraduate and graduate students from all Oklahoma NASA Space Grant Consortium affiliate institutions (OU, OSU, ECU, Langston, Cameron, SNU, SWOSU SOSU) are eligible to apply for the fellowship. Must be U.S. citizen, in good academic standing, enrolled for the 2010-2011 academic year and eligible for admission to the University of Oklahoma if not an OU student.
