Research Interests

Remote sensing application development for issues concerning natural resources mapping and management. Specific interest in multi-scale satellite remote sensing data and GIS for Global scale mapping (irrigation, rainfed croplands, forest); biodiversity and landscape level characterization; water productivity mapping; agro-ecosystems/land use systems.
Earth observation systems and sensor of interest: IKONOS, IRS series, Hyperion, Ali, Landsat, SPOT, MODIS, AVHRR and microwave sensors- EOS, ERS-1, RADARSAT, JERS-1, and recently ALOS-PalSAR.
Spatial modeling and algorithm development.
