Education
- Ph.D. Candidate in Geography,University of Oklahoma (OU)
- M.S. Physics, Idaho State University, 1996.
- B.S. Physics, Brigham Young University (BYU), 1993.
Research Interests
Leveraging the skills and knowledge obtained with my physics degrees, I am pursuing fundamental research into Geographic Information Science (GISci). In my career, I seek to apply GISci to the overarching theme of sustainability issues, especially with regards to water and other natural resources.
Current Research
My current research is in mining of spatiotemporal drought data to enable improved analysis of, and decision support for, the phenomena of drought. Support Vector Machine, and Spatiotemporal Relational Probability Tree algorithms are being used for the mining.
