The goal of CSA's geospatial extension activities is to enhance the general awareness and understanding of geospatial information technology and transfer the technology to end-users through innovative programs.
Introduction to ArcGIS I Plus - Register Today!
This program is presented by ESRI authorized instructors for government agency employees, researchers and other professionals. In addition to earning an ArcGIS I certificate participants have the opportunity to bring data and discuss their needs with CSA faculty and graduate student teaching assistants.
GeoGirl Badge Workshops
CSA and our volunteers present Girl Scout workshops each semester. This program is designed to introduce female youth to the fundamentals of earth science and encourage education and careers by exposing girls to strong female role models and the university setting.
Geospatial Help Desk

Geospatial Summer Institute
This Oklahoma NASA Space Grant fellowship program is built around and intensive course that provides hands-on experience in GIS, GPS and remote sensing for students from all eight Space Grant affiliate universities in Oklahoma.Complete information and Application materials available here.
GIS Day
Annually CSA faculty and student celebrate GIS Day and Geography Awareness Week by hosting advanced placement geography students from our local high school for a day of hands on activities in GIS, GPS and remote sensing.
GPS for K-12 teachers
In conjunction with the Oklahoma Alliance for Geographic Education Geography Basics Institute CSA students present the fundamentals of GPS to K-12 teachers from across Oklahoma.
